The Chioggia beet originated in the town of Chioggia, Italy located near Venice. The pink and white rings are intriguingly different from the typical red beet. This beet is a very popular choice for sale at farmer's markets and is desirable among top chefs all over the world. Those who typically don’t like the beet’s earthy flavor will appreciate this variety. It has a crisp, sweet, and mellow flavor. The greens are crisp and have a great flavor as well.
