The Pusa Asita Black Carrot has an amazing flavor and is very rich in color. It is also potentially the world’s richest plant-based source of anthocyanin. It grows especially well in the South and performs better than other carrots in extreme heat. However, it tastes better when it is harvested in the fall or winter. This particular carrot’s flavor is richer and sweeter than a regular “orange” carrot, and the color deepens as carrots mature. For best results plant in early spring or in the late summer for a fall harvest and allow 6 to 8 hours of sunlight. Approx. 85 days to maturity.
