Red Welsh Onion
The Welsh Red Onion is a very hardy bunching onion that originated in northern China or Siberia, despite its name. It is grown for its thick green stems and hollow leaves that possesses a pungent onion flavor. It is a perennial, and this variety never forms a bulb. This onion is widely used in the cuisines of Japan, Taiwan, and China. This crop is also grown by the Welsh, hence its name. It is also Easy to grow and productive once established.
